The Day After Beyonce

The day after…
I still can’t get over what happened yesterday: Beyonce dropped her new album without a release date and without promotion. The world exploded. And the impact just started 24 hours ago. Social media went crazy in love: from Instagram, to Facebook, to Tumblr. And that’s exactly where I found following vivid snapshots of the life and times of The Carters – Jay Z, Beyoncé, and little Blue Ivy – as captured by their official portrait artist. They are painted onto famous classic works of art. From Edvard Munch’s The Scream, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Rene Magritte (who’s art Beyonce even used in her video for Mine), Frida Kahlo and the list goes on and on.
And the paintings are so damn good:
