I seriously asked myself: why am I always late with shit? I need to set my priorities right for 2k15 and post things in time and on time. But then again fashion can never be old news…
So during LCM Soulland was presenting their AW15 collection “Exotic Erotic”. Soullandwas founded in 2002 and is owned by designer Silas Adler and CEO Jacob Kampp Berliner. Its design principles and aesthetics have their origins in Scandinavian artisanship combined with a contemporary feel. Whilst always remembering its legacy, Soulland aims to push menswear forward in new directions.
Presenting two seasonal collections alongside two pre-collections every year, Soulland has received much acknowledgement from international press outlets such as The New York Times, Euroman, GQ, ID Magazine, Bangkok Post, The Guardian, Dazed & Confused and Selectism. Soulland designer Silas Adler was awarded Designer of the Year at DANSK Fashion Awards 2012. Open your eyes:
LCM Day 2. And the AW15 collections keep on coming and coming.
Hentsch Man was launched in 2008 by childhood friends, Alexia Hentsch and Max von Hurter, with the sole mission of creating the perfect white shirt. The brand has come a long way since then, now presenting seasonal collections of a diverse range of wardrobe essentials and casually tailored garments. But despite this growth, the original values of simplicity, good tailoring, good quality and good pricing remain the core pillars of the brand.Over the seasons, Hentsch Man has developed the use of print and graphics as a central feature to the collections, pushing the brand in a more quirky and tongue-in-cheek direction.
Another year, another fashion week. And what’s a better way to start this year off than with London Collections: Men? Exactly! And to be more precise: with Alex Mullins(one of my all time favorites). This British menswear designer was covered by us several times and I am so happy I had the chance to see his AW15 collection this afternoon .
Alex Mullins was educated at Central Saint Martins, where he was runner up in the L’Oreal Professional Young Designer of the Year Award. He then went on to complete the MA (Menswear) at the Royal College of Art.While at the RCA he was awarded a full scholarship with Kopenhagen Fur, and was nominated for the Dazed and Confused/Casio G-Shock ‘Spirit of Toughness’ award. After working for Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenberg, Jeremy Scott, Kanye West and Dirk Bikkembergs, Mullins set up his brand in spring 2013.
For his collection the designer is taking us back to the 70s, bringing some elements of that century just to put it right back into 2k15 again. This collection just makes me wanna skip winter, spring and summer! And I swear I wish this location was my living room:
I would never expect these three words put together to make so much sense, but Korean designer CY CHOImakes it happen. And that’s what this brands stands for: differentiation of the objects from the exclusive line and shifting boundaries into a new direction. Launching this brand for menswear in Paris back in 2009, CY CHOI melts his values that agonizes the possibility of transformation between art and design and seeks after visualizing the invisibleness with his own mimesis from the past. With his FW14 collection “Figure” Cy stays true to his signature black and white style and at the same time is taking it to another level of greatness.
Uhhh, I want this: Pictures via Cy Choi
Central Saint Martins and Parsons student collections always make every other school’s fashion programs look like shit.
Same with Samuel Yang‘s graduate collection. Her interpretation of “the invisible and formless things, the aura that exists among people” with white symbolizing purity as a common theme and the silhouettes being sculptural but still clean is the shit. But when I saw the pictures I couldn’t take my eyes of the shoes. The highlight from the collection came in the form of a pair of minimalistic LED futurism sneakers.
If your brain didn’t get it yet: minimalistic LED futurism sneakers!!! So Yifang Wan and Samuel Yang collaborated on the so called Simulation shoes. This is so next level, it’s blowing me off my feet! And I remember being a kid having glowing shoes (like the kind that start glowing when you make a step) literally tap dancing in the dark just to make them glow. These shoes make my inner child super excited.
So if you have $499 left then feel free to shop the shoes right here. And since I want and need these, I am just gonna look on Ebay for a cheaper version of it…
For this post I tried to make something different and keep it as real and urban as possible. And maybe just because this was the most spontaneous #ootd shooting I have ever done. And in my mind I thought: If Karl can use his Ipad, then I can use my Iphone (basically that’s what I say all the time). So this is what happened:
Me and a friend of mine where walking down the city when we heard classical music coming out of this building. And so we entered it, I was literally like: My outfit is all Adidas everything, this building is fucking insane, let’s take these pictures! And btw this was the most relaxing shooting I have ever done.
And I am just obsessed with the Adidas shoes and sweater I am wearing. And if I wasn’t a fashion blogger I would say that I wear it almost every day, but this is probably not a part of the blogging etiquette.
So the sweater is from Nigo’s first Adidas collection named Originals by Nigo, who is inspired by vintage sportswear. And in case you don’t know who Nigo is, you should do some research! But most definitively you have seen his face somewhere! To make it super short: Nigo is a Japanese music producer and DJ who worked with Pharrell and the creator of the urban clothing line A Bathing Ape. And the Adidas collection is sooooo good! See yourself:Wanna shop the look? Here you go:
1. Sweater: Originals by Nigo

5. Shirt: Urban Outfitters (Vintage section)
