ETQ Amsterdam

Let’s cut the bullshit for today, because it’s been a loooong day and I am tired as fuck. I am blessed but stressed and am seeking my bed so bad. And so ETQ Amsterdam is fulfilling all my needs right now by keeping random questions about their background and who they are short and simple:

WE COULD TELL YOU ALL KINDS OF STORIES,
BUT THAT’S NOT WHO WE ARE.
WE’RE HONEST. CLEAN. TIMELESS. EXCEPTIONAL.
AND SO IS OUR PRODUCT.

On point! And not only the designs of ETQ Amsterdam‘s sneakers are dope is fuck, but so is their attitude. And they don’t need all that blah blah blah, because the sneakers speak for themselves. So serious question: can I like seriously have these and live? I swear these are made for me to walk in. So check out my favorites, but don’t forget there is more on www.etq-amsterdam.com:

Solange x Puma

And Solange did it again!
And even better than the first time.

Following the success of the Girls of Blaze collection debuted this past February, PUMA unleashes its second collection of footwear — under creative direction of Solange. The release welcomes the return of the previous collection’s original designers Gerlan Marcel, Hisham Bharoocha and sister duo Darlene and Lizzy Okpo to re-interpret PUMA’s seasonal themes of “Wild Rebel” and “Natural Calm.” The first drop is entitled “Wild Wonder,” featuring three styles that will release on November 28th and the second “Behind the Bazaar” features two styles that will release on December 13th. The new collection is centered around two iconic styles for PUMA, the classic PUMA Suede and the XT2, a much loved favorite from the Trinomic Family. Each designer approached the sneaker’s silhouettes in their own way and brought in graphics, a mix of materials and colors or natural fabrics.

Dope as fuck!

Break The Internet

While Kim Kardashian is breaking the internet with her butt, Antimatter is talking the internet and the cyber world (from seapunk, netart to webpunk to you fucking name it) into their FW14 lookbook for a collection called “Sunset At Noon”.  And the Seoul based streetwear brand is  pushing it to perfection with it! Like not only the clothes are dope as fuck. but the lookbook presentation is just on point.
And as soon as I converted Won into €  and got money on my bank account I will purchase the shit out of their webshop. In the meantime I will just stare at this lookbook:

Alex Mullins

While I consider myself being to cool for school (see facebook post) (because it’s boring and starts so early every morning that I am tired as fuck) I thought about what to do. And I should honestly become a professional blogger. And make tons of money out of it. Unfortunately I am too average for this shit, but the shit I’m talking about def is not. And I just wanna afford Alex Mullins.

Like have you seen Alex Mullins SS15 collection? Way too dope!
British menswear designer Alex Mullins was educated at Central Saint Martins, where he was runner up in the L’Oreal Professional Young Designer of the Year Award. He then went on to complete the MA (Menswear) at the Royal College of Art.While at the RCA he was awarded a full scholarship with Kopenhagen Fur, and was nominated for the Dazed and Confused/Casio G-Shock ‘Spirit of Toughness’ award. After working for Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenberg, Jeremy Scott, Kanye West and Dirk Bikkembergs, Mullins set up his brand in spring 2013.

The Magic Mountain

Who doesn’t know the feeling when everything goes right in life?! When everything is just how you imagine it to be and beyond. And then sometimes the tide turns and everything is fucked up, but it also turns back again. And trust me when I say that it’s up to you to make it great! You are the creator. Fuck..I should start doing motivational speeches and make actual money instead of blogging. But that roller-coaster ride is captured in Ana Locking‘s SS15 collection “”The Magic Mountain”. And it’s captured really good:

ana locking

Inspired by Thomas Mann’s novel. “The Magic Mountain” takes us on a roller-coaster ride in which a sense of nostalgia for Old Europe goes hand in hand with American pop iconography. Mann’s novel is set in a centre for rest and recovery in the Swiss Alps, and it is in this sense that the emotional ups and downs of the patients at the sanatorium reflect the curves and ups and downs of the roller coaster, leading to the creation of my own Magic Mountain. In this sanctuary, time seems to unfold in a different way, creating a temporal realm that is different to the one we are accustomed to. In this parallel reality, the idea of rest and preservation contrasts entirely with that of the ceaseless and incessant movement of contemporary life.

Collapse and recovery. The collapse brought about by the extreme agitation of life today, and the need to escape from this moral recklessness in order to search for recovery on the personal magic mountain that each of us erects, creates the magic of our daily existence.

The themes of seduction and sophistication are highly prominent throughout the entire collection, as are the themes of serenity and equilibrium, making up the four pillars on which the collection rests. 008 And as far as colours are concerned, white dominates everything from beginning to end: white spots on white gauze, white embroidered needlepoint on white tulle, white lurex tassels on white neoprene… The modulating shades consist of sober and conservative black, together with visceral red, which are completed with sanatorium green and midnight blue.
Just perfect! 013 016Pictures via Ana Locking
