Sadak FW15

MBFWB is run by the Balkan connection. And I absolutely like it. Plus SADAK had by far (by faaaaaar) the best runway collection for FW15 (in Berlin). And it could have not been more Ghetto Chanel:
sadakSadak’s designer Sasa Kovacevic is a Serbian-born fashion and stage/costume designer. He graduated in Fashion Design from Kunsthochschule Weißensee Berlin,Germany; he also studied Stage and Costume Design at the Academy of Art, Belgrade. In addition to designing for his own Fashion Label- SADAK, Sasa has also designed costumes and set design for several dance projects. And this shit better land in my wardrobe.
sadak sadak The clothing is innovative and unique, while still incorporating distinctive elements from a variety of preceding periods and ethnic cultures. The various inspirations for the collections are essentially what makes them so superior in character. It’s not only the collection as a whole that comes with a motive, it’s the individual works themselves.

Always at the core of his universe (and as essential as the clothes themselves) are attitudes, moods and statements about individuality and independence. Equally important in SADAK’ s approach is the constant quest for innovation. The key elements stay the same: modern proportions, a constant research for fabrics and textures and above all the interplay of pure construction and new shapes with the body and psyche of the contemporary fashion and art.
sadak sadakSo a major HVALA for putting the right light on MBFWB!

Soulland: Exotic Erotic

I seriously asked myself: why am I always late with shit? I need to set my priorities right for 2k15 and post things in time and on time. But then again fashion can never be old news…

So during LCM Soulland was presenting their AW15 collection “Exotic Erotic”.
Soulland was founded in 2002 and is owned by designer Silas Adler and CEO Jacob Kampp Berliner. Its design principles and aesthetics have their origins in Scandinavian artisanship combined with a contemporary feel. Whilst always remembering its legacy, Soulland aims to push menswear forward in new directions.
Presenting two seasonal collections alongside two pre-collections every year, Soulland has received much acknowledgement from international press outlets such as The New York Times, Euroman, GQ, ID Magazine, Bangkok Post, The Guardian, Dazed & Confused and Selectism. Soulland designer Silas Adler was awarded Designer of the Year at DANSK Fashion Awards 2012. Open your eyes:

Marco Battaglini

These paintings by Marco Battaglini are perhaps the best example of classical meeting modern that I know of:
MARCO BATTAGLINI

Battaglini invites us to think that in today’s global village, with the ‘democratization’ of culture, the evolution of knowledge, information immediacy, immersed in the heterogeneity, the Patchwork Culture forces us to confront with a need understanding beyond our geographical boundaries of time. Probably the uniqueness of the Italian artist Marco Battaglini is to conceptualize the possible coexistence of the ideals of classical beauty with the anti-aesthetic, the combination of the divine and refined with the vulgar, through a composition that can complement different realities in an eternal instant. His research of multidimensionality leads him to overlap different temporal, spatial and cultural realities, where everything seems to make sense… This is ultimately the Battaglini’s purpose: remove barriers that distort the perception of reality.
You can see more of the experly painted works below:

LED Futurism Sneakers

Central Saint Martins and Parsons student collections always make every other school’s fashion programs look like shit.
Same with Samuel Yang‘s graduate collection. Her interpretation of “the invisible and formless things, the aura that exists among people” with white symbolizing purity as a common theme and the silhouettes being sculptural but still clean is the shit. But when I saw the pictures I couldn’t take my eyes of the shoes. The highlight from the collection came in the form of a pair of minimalistic LED futurism sneakers.
If your brain didn’t get it yet: minimalistic LED futurism sneakers!!!
samuel yangSo Yifang Wan and Samuel Yang collaborated on the so called Simulation shoes.  This is so next level, it’s blowing me off my feet! And I remember being a kid having glowing shoes (like the kind that start glowing when you make a step) literally tap dancing in the dark just to make them glow. These shoes make my inner child super excited.

So if you have $499 left then feel free to shop the shoes right here. And since I want and need these, I am just gonna look on Ebay for a cheaper version of it…

Hardware LDN

I am so so late with this. So so late….but the fact that I find these Hardware LDN sunglasses still dope as fuck and am still willing to write about them just shows that they are timeless and not just a “one season kind of thing”.
hardware ldn

Hardware LDN is a London based street wear brand established in 2012 by born and bred London girl Jessica Horwell. Growing up and experimenting with her own style, Jessica drew inspiration from all of the, anything but murky, depths of the city’s diverse subcultures – everything from the punks, to the rockers, to the skaters, to the metal heads, to the urbanites. Eventually, after years of merging together her favourite aspects, Jessica conceived Hardware LDN with the intention to create a brand that embodies her vision of London street fashion in its eclectic entirety.

Known for its accessories Hardware LDN launches it’s first pair of sunglasses that are dropping in Topshop in October 2014. By using a popular shape Jessica was able to make it true to theHardware LDN style by adding a signature attitude synonymous with the streets of London. The sunglasses are unique, edgy, bold, and in an array of industrial colours, which no doubt will become rapidly popular amongst her large celebrity fan base including the likes of Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora and Jessie J. unnamed unnamed (2)
So as soon as the sun comes out again these sunglasses are the must thing to have! But besides that the clothing is so Ghetto Chanel and Couture Street that made my “Top 10 wishes for x-mas” list!

The Shit I’m Wearing: Riding Dirty

They see me rolling, they hating, they trying to catch me riding dirty…

That’s exactly how I felt when I had the chance to test drive Jaano. Never heard of it? Well, that’s what I am here for.
Founded by the two friends Jaan Hofmann and Tino Hoffrichter, Jaano is offering scooter sharing to everybody living in Hamburg (and it will probably spread out to your city soon, so just watch out). It’s the perfect solution for traffic and transportation in urban areas, since you can rent the scooter for as much time as you need and just park wherever. No strings attached, because you pay for the time you use the Jaano scooter and wherever you find one of these you can hopp on and off anytime. The concept is simple and genius at the same time! You just have to register (and of course have a driver’s licence and stuff like that) and off you go.

And since I am a huge fan of it, I did put on my good outfit and got myself up on that  Vespa Primavera 50 4T 4V. Take a look (a little posing never hurt nobody)! VROOM VROOM!
Jaano Weekday weekday I don't give a fuck Jaano JaanoThe idea is dope as fuck and you will definitely gonna catch me riding on this in Hamburg, so make sure you like Jaano on Facebook!

And btw: wanna shop the look? Here you go:
1. Sweater: Weekday (it’s on sale)
2. Shirt: Asos
3. Jeans: Cheap Monday
4. Shoes: Superga
5. Socks: Bought them in Patrica Field‘s store in NYC and I couldn’t find them online...
