I had my first 4 days of uni this week and I am already done with life. And it’s still 5 long months to go. I just need this weekend to recover from the stress (not even kidding). And now I have to figure out how to switch from talking about my life to talking about Markus Lupfer‘s SS15 collection…Fuck it. Or wait: in case you are stressed just dress in Markus Lupfer. Boooom! But yea…I reached an all time low with this introduction and caption!
Markus Lupfer’s unique style breathes new life into the everyday basics and refreshes the concept of classic knitwear, creating wearable clothing with an ornamental feel. He has some great menswear stuff (SS15!!!) , but this one is for you girls!
Lupfer is renowned for his humorously subversive knitwear and inspired approach to jersey daywear and tailoring. His innovative and often surreal use of print, embroidery and graphic embellishment, continues to earn him a devoted celebrity following. The Markus Lupfer brand has evolved to include extensive day and eveningwear collections and from AW10 has also included internationally successful Menswear collections bearing all the Markus Lupfer hallmarks and essence of wit and playfulness. Take a look:
It’s finally Friday and call me nuts, but not going to uni for a couple of days is cool, but then again I get bored way too easily. Wait…did I just say I miss uni? I know I am going to regret this sentence on Monday. But I need at least some kind of food for my brain and thank God I have this blog. So I figured I am going to stimulate my lobus occipitalis with some art. So I came across following createur de peinture:
Currently working out of Vancouver, Canada, Andy Dixon‘s work contrasts refined subject matter with a coarse application of his materials. Although his subjects are often romantic, Dixon’s approach and use of colour remove their idealism, accenting an alternative beauty found within the imperfection and humanity of both the subject and the artist simultaneously.Evoking an era of modernist painting, Andy Dixon’s work is both expressive and contemporary in form and aesthetic.
Le Shit que je port ajourd’hui.
The Shit I’m wearing today.
Der Shit, den ich heute trage.
El Shit que yo calzo hoy.
So international today, but still being reminiscent with my New York City outfit by Beacon’s Closet and Urban Outfitters:
This one has been on my to-blog list since forever. And I could honestly slap myself for not writing about this brand earlier, but I guess it just wasn’t the right time. Actually it was the right time, but I was apparently mad douche-rish to not write about it. So the lookbook of the SS13 collection was on my desktop for months now and today the day has come: let me present you the one and only Guns Germs $teal.
You have officially entered the danger zone, because this LA-based brand is not good for my/your/our fashion addiction. The two girls Smiley Stevens and Philipa Price are the creaters behind the brand. The primary designed menswear is very urban, but still I feel like the streetwear is finally revolutionary again, because it is mixing that high fashion touch with raw street fashion.
GG$ definitely designs outside of the box. It is, to put it in one word: funkadelic!
So please check out their homepage, because he motto is TGIoS (Thank God It’s On Sale)! And of course here is the SS13 lookbook:
